fx-CG100

ClassWiz® Color Graph

The fx-CG100 ClassWiz CG is a cutting-edge handheld calculator designed to enhance student learning and exploration. Its intuitive, high-contrast user interface features a clean, tab-based design, replacing the traditional function key layout for improved navigation. The physical keypad is modeled after the scientific ClassWiz calculators, ensuring a seamless transition between scientific and graphing models for students.

The fx-CG100 features a robust catalog of mathematical functions with additional settings and adjustments located in the TOOLS menu. This model features Exam Mode right from the home screen and is approved for the SAT®, PSAT®, ACT®, and AP® tests. The fx-CG100 comes with MicroPython.

Please note, the fx-CG100 does not include a Computer Algebra System (C.A.S.).

The fx-CG100 features a high-resolution back-lit color display on a flush, gloss panel. The rounded key design helps reduce input errors and maximizes space for SHIFT and ALPHA labeling. The high contrast key labels and glyphic representations help students identify numerals and functions more readily than previous keypad designs.

This powerful calculator enables you to plot and analyze graphs and their transformations, import data directly over USB, plot data charts and calculate statistics, calculate and visualize probability distributions, plot and solve graphs in 3D, calculate matrix and vector arithmetic, perform complex calculations not possible on a scientific calculator, prime factorization, calculate spreadsheets and recursive sequences, and whole host more.

The fx-CG50 comes built-in with Python, a programming language used in the development of Internet search engines, social media sites, robots, and other applications. Learning Python cultivates algorithmic thinking and has been adopted for use in advanced math curricula across the country.

Explore 3D Graphing

Five types of 3D graph templates are available on the fx-CG100: sphere, cylinder, plane, cone and line.

It is easy to draw and combine three-dimensional functions using the built-in templates.

Use the rotate feature to dynamically explore the relationships between your 3D graphs. Whether you're analyzing the intersection of planes, the path of vectors, or the geometry of surfaces, rotating along the X, Y, or Z axis allows you to gain a deeper understanding of their spacial interactions!

Example: adjust the perspective to reveal how planes cut through cylinders, how lines align or diverge, and how different mathematical entities coexist in 3D space.
